If you are interested in purchasing a kid from one of our breedings, please fill out the contact form below. All breeding's are subject to change until the doe is confirmed bred by ultrasound.
Our goal is to find wonderful homes for our goats and for you to be happy with your goat purchase. We do everything we can to produce healthy, high quality goats for pets, breeding stock, and show animals.
Please understand that we select animals to breed for ourselves first, and we usually retain several kids each year. We reserve the right to retain any kid resulting from any of our breedings. That being said, once we have notified you that your selected kid is available, we will honor that agreement.
FOR PET HOMES: Goats are herd animals and need to be with other goats. We will not sell a single goat to a home that does not already have goats. If this is your first goat purchase, you must purchase more than one. If you are purchasing a wether as a companion for a doe you are currently purchasing from us, the wether will be offered at a reduced price.
FOR BREEDERS: Our Reservation List is not first come first serve. We do give priority to herds that Milk Test, Linear Appraise and/or participate in ADGA Sanctioned Dairy Goat Shows. If you are just getting started breeding or if you just breed/milk for personal use, you are still welcome to be placed on a reservation list. We all start somewhere and we love nothing more than to guide a new herd from the ground up.
1. Deposit: For the time being, we are not accepting deposits. if you do not Milk Test, Linear Appraise and/or Participate in ADGA Sanction Dairy Goat Shows you are welcome to be placed on any does Reservation Wait List at no cost, but we do give Priority to Performance Herds First.
2. Payment: We accept cash, PayPal, Venmo or Zelle. If you choose to use PayPal or Venmo, please add 4% to your payment in order to cover the transaction fee. If you do not want to pay the extra 4%, you have the option to use “friends and family" and there will be no service fee.
3. Pickup: Animals must be picked up by the agreed-upon date. We will try to accommodate a later pickup if we can. If animals are not picked up within seven (7) days of the agreed-upon date and other arrangements have not been made, the animal/s will be offered to the next interested party and you will forfeit the deposit.
4. Transportation: Transportation is the buyer's responsibility. Please consider your transportation needs before purchasing an animal. Unless other arrangements have been made, most kids will be ready to leave at about 4 weeks old. If a health certificate is needed, we will arrange the vet appointment and pay for the certificate, but the buyer must reimburse us for the vet fees prior to the animal leaving our property.
5. Refunds: All sales are final. A refund will be provided if an animal becomes seriously ill or dies prior to the pick-up date. All animals will be healthy upon leaving our property to the best of our knowledge. We cannot be responsible for an animal once it leaves our property. Height of your animal cannot be guaranteed. Replacements will be made when medical proof is provided indicating a genetic issue. We reserve the right to cancel any sale for any reason. If we choose to cancel a sale, we will refund ALL deposit money paid.
6. Disbudding: All animals are disbudded, no exceptions. We do everything in our power to prevent scurs (little horn nubs), but we cannot guarantee the kids will not have any as dwarf goats are particularly hard to disbud as they are so little. If they do have scurs, they are small and do not present any problems.
7. Registration: Once paid in full, we will, at our expense, tattoo and register your goat with the American Dairy Goat Association and transfer the registration to you. Our does generally have a name theme, but we will gladly let you select a name within that theme. All goats will leave with a health record as well. Wethers will not be tattooed or registered.
8. Bucklings: Unless otherwise stated, bucklings will be castrated (wethered) and will not be registered. Depending on their age at the time you pick them up, wethers will usually be castrated before going to new homes. Intact bucks will be tattooed and registered.
9. Vet: We recommend that you establish a relationship with a large animal vet before you pick up your goats. Not all vets who treat horses and cattle will treat goats. It may take a while to find the right vet.
10. Right of First Refusal: If in the future, you find circumstances have changed and you can no longer care for any animals purchased from us, or they no longer fit into your breeding plans, please contact us and we will do our best to take the animals back (at fair market value) or help you find them a new home.
You are welcome to use any of our pictures from this website to promote an animal from our herd. Please be sure to note that the picture is “courtesy of Cedar Brooks Ranch”. If using another breeder's photo to promote that animal, please be sure to give them credit as well.
